Trent obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in 2009 and Juris Doctor in 2010, both from the University of Saskatchewan. Trent was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2011.

Trent has worked at Leland Kimpinski since 2011 and became a partner in 2016. His practice includes real estate, business law, estate planning, estate administration, commercial financing, real estate foreclosure, and civil litigation.

In his spare time, Trent enjoys coaching hockey and spending time with his wife and children at the lake.
